Frequently Asked Questions
We've compiled the questions we hear most often below. If you don't find what you're looking for — or just want to talk it through — we're happy to have that conversation directly.

All three get lumped together, but they solve different problems.
A business coach works on you, the leader — asking questions, providing frameworks, and holding you accountable, usually through ongoing sessions. Right for: you already know what needs to happen, you just need support and accountability to actually do it.
A fractional COO works inside your business as a part-time executive — direct authority over staff, running daily operations, typically retained indefinitely. Right for: you need ongoing, hands-on operating leadership, not a one-time engagement.
We're different from both. We're not coaching your mindset, and we're not staying to run your business day-to-day. We diagnose what's actually constraining the business, then bring only the specific work it needs to fix that — sometimes one focused piece, sometimes more — and we stay engaged through execution, not just recommendations. Right for: you're not sure what's actually holding the business back, or you know there's a structural gap but don't have the internal bandwidth to close it yourselves.
The short version: a coach develops you. A fractional COO runs operations for you. We find what can be better, build the fix, and get it done.

Generally between $800–$1,100, depending on the complexity of your business. Because that range shifts based on your specific situation, we like to align on scope with a quick conversation first rather than quote a number blind — it's the better way to make sure the price actually matches what you need. Book a discovery call and we'll confirm where you land.
-
It's a single 60–90 minute conversation with you, the owner — not weeks of document requests or interviews across your team. We work through four areas of the business (how you win and retain customers, how work actually gets delivered, your cash and financial visibility, and your team and decision-making) plus a read on how dependent the business currently is on you personally. After the conversation, you get a one or two pager Capacity Blueprint — a clear, plain-language summary of the top priorities worth your attention right now.
-
Those systems install the same methodology in every business, regardless of size or need. We don't. We diagnose first, then bring only the pieces your business actually needs — sometimes that's one focused engagement, sometimes it's broader. You're not paying for a framework sized for a company ten times your size.
-
Consulting. We're not here to motivate you or work on mindset — we're here to help you build the operational structure your business needs to run without you personally holding it together. If you already know what to do and just need accountability to do it, a coach might be the better fit. If you're not sure what could be working better, that's us.
-
No. Every engagement is led by senior advisors from day one, not passed off after the proposal is signed. That's true whether it's a 90-minute Business Health Check or a longer engagement.
-
No single industry focus. We work with founder-led SMBs and mid-market companies broadly — professional services, manufacturing, distribution, construction, and tech-enabled B2B are common, but the pattern we look for isn't industry, it's whether the business has outgrown its current systems and structure.
-
Roughly 10–250 employees, generally $1M–$30M+ in revenue, founder-led or owner-managed. If you're earlier than that, you likely need something different than what we offer. If you're larger, we can still be a fit — worth a conversation either way.
-
Yes. We're based in Oakville and work with clients in person locally, and remotely across Canada.
-
Yes — alongside our SMB work, we support municipalities, healthcare organizations, and community-serving agencies. See our Public Sector page for more detail.
-
ou get a clear, focused read on what's actually constraining the business — not a 50-page report. From there, it's your call whether to act on it yourself, come back to us for focused Strategy to Execution work, or nothing at all. No pressure into a bigger engagement.
-
The Business Health Check itself is a single 60–90 minute session plus a short written blueprint. Strategy to Execution work varies widely depending on which pieces apply to you — we'll give you a realistic timeline once we know the scope, not before.
